Rapper Eminem has despatched GOP presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy a cease-and-desist letter asking that the candidate block acting Eminem’s strike 2002 tune “Lose Yourself” at the marketing campaign path.
Ramaswamy was once evident passionately rapping along to the tune in mid-August era campaigning on the Iowa Circumstance Honest in Des Moines.
Variety reported Monday that tune licenser BMI despatched a letter to Ramaswamy’s marketing campaign legal professional on Aug. 23 objecting to the marketing campaign’s worth of Eminem’s musical compositions.
“BMI will consider any performance of the Eminem Works by the Vivek 2024 campaign from this date forward to be a material breach of the Agreement for which BMI reserves all rights and remedies with respect thereto,” the letter learn, in line with Selection.
